Meanwhile, China’s Sinopec displayed its carbon capture system, which has been integrated into its Shanghai refinery, capturing 1.2 million tons of CO2 annually for industrial reuse.

Panel discussions focused on regulatory pressures, with the EU’s new Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability taking center stage. Representatives from the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) outlined stricter labeling requirements for hazardous substances, set to take effect in 2026.
